A couple days around Bear Cave Campground were filled with some awesome fun.
Day 1
On Thursday, we found Lehman's Farmhouse, a great little farmhouse/brewery. Wonderful ambiance, great service, and the brews and food were on point!
After that, we headed out to Warren Dunes State Park and walked the beach and hiked some dunes. Great time.
Friday promised great weather, so we packed a cooler int eh jeep and headed to Indiana Dunes State Park. On the way, we stopped in a great little town called New Buffalo, and they had, of all things, an old church that had been converted into a brewery. Pic needed!
New Buffalo also had a pretty cool beach.
Indiana Dunes State Park was just incredible. There were so many things to do, we didn't know what to do first. We ended up doing a 5 mile hike, Number 9, through the dunes and the forest. Let me tell you, 5 miles, with a portion of it going up and down sand dunes, is a great workout.
Day 3
Saturday was a little bit of a 'wine'd down and mash up day.
We found a really cool marina(West Basin) and park(Tiscornia Park) with a couple lighthouses.
And,,, MJ got a chuckle when she visited the ladies room.
